On this tour of the Casa de Fusta we will visit one of the most famous buildings in the Ebro Delta Natural Park. We will discover its history and take a short hiking route to see the Encanyissada lagoon.
Itinerary
At the indicated time, we will meet at the Casa de Fusta museum and enter this building to begin to learn about the history of one of the most important monuments of the Ebro Delta.
Did you know that fusta means wood in Catalan? And that the origins of this place date back to the beginning of the 20th century? During the guided tour of the Casa de Fusta we will discover everything about this building built by a group of hunters who came here attracted by the great birdlife of the Ebro Delta Natural Park.
In fact, the Casa de Fusta today houses an ornithological museum. We will talk about the different species of birds that frequent this area and we will explain why this place is so attractive to them.
Afterwards, we will take a short route around the lagoon. It is the largest in the Ebro Delta! With this short walk we will reach a viewpoint that offers an incredible panoramic view of this place. In addition, it is a perfect place for bird watching.
After two hours of travel, we will finish the activity at the starting point.
