When the sun disappears behind the rice fields, the Ebro Delta transforms. The landscape is immersed in silence, darkness envelops nature, and the activity of numerous species that remain hidden during the day begins.

We invite you to discover this fascinating world through a unique nighttime experience at the Riet Vell Nature Reserve, one of the best-preserved areas of the Ebro Delta.

For two hours, we will traverse its trails in a small group, learning to interpret the sounds of the night. We will listen to the calls of owls and other nocturnal birds, the croaking of frogs, the chirping of crickets, and the murmur of an ecosystem that comes to life when the sun goes down.

Along the route, we will discover how nocturnal animals live, why the Ebro Delta is one of the most important wetlands in the Mediterranean, and how organic farming and biodiversity conservation coexist in the same space.

Weather permitting, we will also look up to discover the night sky. We will identify the main constellations visible at this time of year, learn how to orient ourselves using the North Star, and discover some of the stories and legends that have accompanied the stars for thousands of years.

Every night is different. The silent flight of an owl, the fleeting passage of a bat, a shooting star, or the reflection of the moon on the rice paddies or the lagoon turn this experience into a unique moment.

Transport

This activity takes place on foot within the estate and covers a total distance of approximately 500 meters over flat terrain, making it suitable for everyone. Participants must make their own way to the estate. We recommend bringing flashlights or headlamps.
