Les teranyines del corral is the textile workshop located in the rural accommodation of Lo corral d’Arnes (an old ox corral renovated respecting traditional architecture). At the entrance there is an exhibition and sales space for pieces woven on high and low warp looms, where a brief introduction to the two textile techniques is given. To carry out the introductory tapestry workshop, we will go up to the workshop itself, located at the top of the building (there is no elevator). The introductory tapestry workshop is a way to experience the tapestry technique in an interactive way. Using vegetable fibres and coloured wool, we will have a good time learning what the frame, warp and weft are, its basic stitch and a volume stitch. We will enjoy weaving and plotting a story. Material: The material includes: frame (which the student will take home after the workshop), nails, and the natural textile fibers needed to make the warp and weft of the tapestry.
