Pilar Girbes has revived cotton cultivation in the Ebro Delta, where it was grown in the middle of the last century to supply the textile industry in Catalonia. Pilar still keeps the receipts from when her husband’s father grew and sold cotton in the Ebro Delta. In her workshop she teaches how to card and spin the cotton she grows herself. The cotton is deseeded and combed to make it fine and then wound onto a spindle to easily create cotton thread. As if it were a magic trick, Pilar Girbes transforms her colorful field of plants cotton in a Craft workshop to design your own bracelet. This activity is very well thought out for families with children, although adults also love to see where the clothes they wear come from, since we all have cotton clothes but very few know the plant where it comes from.
